*We could have extended bass response even further, 40-Hz
or lower, to excel at "spec wars". Instead,
we chose the 75Hz cutoff point to insure completely
unlimited dynamic range capabilities with any music or
soundtrack source material. The normal crossover frequency
to the subwoofer in quality multi-channel systems is 80Hz.
The Protege will provide a seamless transition to the
high-quality subwoofer(s) of your choice.

From top to bottom, the Proteges are by far the best, most
balanced speaker I have ever heard in my room. I really found no
fault with them what so ever. And I am VERY picky about my sound,
especially when it comes to music. They are sealed speakers and
need to be used with a quality sub. If you do, they will blend
seamlessly (assuming proper calibration of course). I can not
