Are Elt Models Magnetically Shielded?

The Elt LRS and Center are fully magnetically shielded.  The Tyke satellites and center are fully shielded. These may all be placed directly under/over/or adjacent to any type of screen. The SW!0 and Tyke subwoofers are not shielded. Back to Top

What amps or rec are recommended ... ?

Too numerous to list. The Elt series, like all ACI speakers  has been designed to be an easy load for any amplifier or receiver.  Even very inexpensive receivers will provide adequate power. Of course higher quality amplification is recommended for the very best sound.  We suggest you let us know specific equipment you own or are considering, and we'll be happy to give you feedback. Some good quality receivers we'd consider: Marantz, Onkyo, Pioneer,  Denon, Yamaha, and more

What's the story of ACI and ELT? . .

Our customers have been asking for lower priced options for years. Over the last couple of years we have tested many systems, looking for something we'd be proud to carry. Everything we tested came up far short of our standards. A while back, Mark mentioned the ELT to me, described the build quality, told me how good it sounded. Mark really knows his stuff and my interest was tweaked. I asked him to send samples as soon as they were available. First thing I noticed was how well they were packed. This is one of those details that is important to me. When I unpacked them I noticed just how beautiful the finish was . . .just what I was looking for! Mark's craftspeople in the PRC do a really nice job . . .
What followed were very extensive listening tests by myself and one of the members of the ACI design team. We agreed to do the initial listening independently and then compare notes. I also brought in lots of other "ears" for their opinions. The verdict was unanimous . . . all three models are wonderful on their own, and as a package, well you'll just have to listen for yourself

However, that wasn't enough, for ACI to sell and warranty a product, we have to feel very comfortable with it. We tested these babies, hard. We took them apart to see how they're built. In the end, it was a pretty easy decision because they are just what we've always tried to be . . . great performers and a great value.

It's already been said, but this really is a Win-Win-Win situation. I love competition, but sometimes a cooperative effort between two "competing" companies can be good for both. That is certainly the case here. And the real winners are the consumers who have a really wonderful product line available through not just one, but two fine companies

What makes the ELT Special ... ?

In a word, value. The ELT is so much more "high-end" than many systems that sell for two to four times as much. The fit and finish is amazing, real furniture quality. handcrafted in the PRC.
Each ELT model provides an exceptional musical presentation at this price point. These babies can play!  Meant to please for the long-haul. Backed by the best warranty in the business. You get to try it in your home!

What does the ELT compare to ... Reviews?

"Considering the excellent performance of the Rocket ELT system on movies, I had high expectations of it on music. I was not disappointed. On Miles Davis’ Sketches of Spain [Columbia CK 65142], the trumpet at the opening of "Concerto de Aranjuez (Adagio)" was amazingly true, and the tambourine caused me to look up from the notes I was writing.
