Force XL Inputs & Filters

Inputs

The Force XL offers three different inputs. Standard left and right inputs are recommended for most applications.  These inputs provide full response and full control of the subwoofer. Either or both inputs may be used as they sum to a mono signal.
A Theater input is provided for two different applications. As the Theater input bypasses the volume control, uses can select this input as their HT connection allowing the subwoofer level to be set from your receiver or processor, while using the left and right inputs for a separately calibrated two-channel setup.
The Theater input also provides a reduction of the extreme low bass for greater dynamic range.

* Note, we generally recommend using either the left or right inputs or both for best sound quality. The additional dynamic range of the theater input reduces sound quality in critical listening applications.

Filters

The Force XL features two independently adjustable low-pass filters.
Each filter is a second order, (12db/oct), filter adjustable from 35-250Hz.
Using both filters together results in a fourth order, (24db/oct) filter.
Fine tuning adjustments may be made be using the filters independently.
